Booking a Fitting
At Protea Bridal Boutique, we specialise in making your search for the perfect wedding dress an enjoyable and magical experience.
Our boutique is located in the beautiful town of Somerset West, in the Western Cape, and we stock a wide range of dress styles to suit every preference. We offer personalised, one-on-one consultations in our spacious fitting rooms with Charmaine – owner and manager.
A R300 fitting fee gives you a 90-minute session, and you're welcome to bring up to three guests to share in the excitement of finding your dream bridal gown.
Custom Wedding Dresses
At Protea Bridal Boutique, we work closely with your ideas and references to ensure your dress is uniquely yours. Prices range from R11 000 to R19 000, with the goal of making you look like a million dollars – without costing the earth.
Lead Times
With a lead time of 18- 20 weeks, it’s important to start your search early and choose the dress you love. Whether it’s off-the-rack, customised, or designed from scratch, we’ll guide you every step of the way.
After your Fitting
Once you’ve said YES to your dream dress, we will send you a detailed same-day quotation, including customisation costs. The quote will also outline our terms and conditions, ensuring full transparency before you move forward. On acceptance of the quote and full payment has been made, your dress will be officially ordered – and the journey to your big day begins.
Alterations
Making sure your chosen dress fits like a glove is a top priority. We offer a range of expert alteration services to ensure a flawless fit and finish. Alterations typically range from R1 500 to R2 500, depending on the work required. A detailed cost estimate will be provided before we begin.
